Desert Love: Joshua Tree Engagement Session

Meet Emily and Calvin, two true life adventurers. The California natives met on Coffee Meets Bagel and have made a life together in Taipei.  On a quick jaunt back to California, we spent their adventure engagement session hanging out in Joshua Tree National Park. Like always — the park put on a show.

We started the session at a super cute Airbnb, their adorable dog making a guest appearance! I love in-home sessions because they allow for some variety and are a comfortable way to ease into shooting. From there, we hopped into the family’s vintage Jeep (*swoon*) and made our way over to the kingdom of strange trees and giant rocks, taking advantage of my National Parks pass.

Joshua Tree was quietly empty when we arrived in time for golden hour. The sunset was jaw dropping — pink and purple hues blended together with gold. It was silent while we took in the land together; in awe as always.
