Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm Wedding in Santa Barbara
If Covid19 has taught me anything β itβs to never take a kiss or a warm hug for granted. To dance under a sea of twinkling lights, to speak vows in the open air by the sea, to celebrate freely with loved ones β all this and more made Emily and Calvinβs Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm wedding in Santa Barbara, California an extra special affair.
Emily and Calvin did not just have the pandemic to worry about (Luckily, the government lockdown had yet to be announced). It was also slated to pour all day. Rewarding them for their calmness, positivity, and resilience in the midst of all these curveballs β the weather gods stopped the rain just in time for festivities, allowing them to commit their lives to each other with the Pacific Ocean as their witness.
Devastatingly, more than half the guests could not attend due to travel restrictions and fears of the virus. During the reception in the beautiful greenhouse, the wedding party surprised the sweet couple by compiling video recordings from the various guests who could not attend β sending virtual blessings, love, and words of wisdom. There was not a dry eye in the room.
To celebrate with all your loved ones in one place. To be able to hug without fear. To laugh and love in company. Weβll get back to the good oleβ days soon. Until then, Iβll be savoring these photos.
